What does a man do when he finds an attractive young thief, trying to escape out of his window with bag full of his things? He spanks her wiggling rear end and pulls her inside for more punishment.
Rose Cooper gets caught breaking into a house and stealing during the worst snowstorm that Minnesota has seen in years. The reason she gets caught is that she's sick. She sneezes and coughs so much that she wakes the owner of the house.
David Armstrong is surprised to find an attractive young thief trying to climb out of his dining room window. He yanks her back inside by the seat of her jeans while her accomplices take off. When he calls the police, he’s informed that they can’t come and collect her because of the storm. He has the option to either let her go, or to keep his uninvited guest safely inside until the police can come and fetch her.
Because she doesn't look like a dangerous criminal, he sits her down and scolds her, giving her a long speech about respecting what other people have worked hard to obtain while he debates with himself what he should do with her.
Rose cries because she’s afraid of the police. She doesn't want to go to jail or worse yet back to her mother and stepfather. He was the reason that she ran away in the first place.
David suddenly notices that Rose isn't feeling well. He lays his hand on her forehead and notices that she has a raging fever.
He swoops her into his arms and brings her into his bathroom while cursing himself for being so gullible. Caring for a sick patient wasn’t what he planned to do while on Christmas vacation from his internship from the hospital. He had wanted to fly home to his family, but he was stuck here because of the snowstorm.
Finally, on Christmas Eve, Rose starts to feel better. David feels that now is a good time for them to talk about her bad behavior as well as take the necessary measures to correct her behavior and convince her to change her ways.
This book contains elements of domestic discipline as well as very hot romantic scenes. If such scenes offend you, please don’t buy the book.

The book had 2348 locations on my kindle. The book was about a young girl named Rose and a man, named David. Rose was an eighteen year old girl, who had been sexually abused by her stepfather. David was a doctor. David caught Rose breaking into his home, and he decided to let her stay with him, until the police arrived. The book contained a few spankings with hands. The book also contained a decent sex scene. The Rose character was ok. She was scared, proud, alone, eager too please. I wasn't too thrilled with David. He could be nice, but most of the time, he was a self righteous tool. I also did not like the fact, that Rose was really sick, and yet he couldn't stop himself from spanking or lecturing the scared girl.Product details

A Sick Thief A Christmas Story edition by Rachel Burns Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Wonderful story line, catching a bad person, then finding out she is sick and gave up vacation due to weather, & then find out the parents hit on her & didn't love her.
As always Ms Burns did a good job. I really liked the ending, it was not rushed as some of Ms. Burns books tend to be.
Good story
Rachel burns is one of those authors that I know I will love any book she writes. My only complaint would be that I wish this book had been a little longer . I feel in love with rose and David.
I really enjoyed this book. At first i was angry at the Dr for not even trying to understand the reality for this girl.but she was so forgiving.this story flows nicely. It is well written . It is interesting and you end up loving both of them. I a also ended up h hating her mother.
I Really like this book. I felt that it was believable and very down-to-earth . There are so many people in the world that are being abused and their story never gets told . It kindled my heart to see the strength that the female pretraid in this book even with what happened to her at her young age . My favorite part of the book was actually in the beginning when the doctor was really mad at her for breaking into his house and he still felt that human compassion when she got sicker. I know what it is like to feel in your heart that you would rather be on the street in the worst conditions possible than to stay in the place where you're at that moment. Thank you for writing a book that betrays the human heart and what it means to never give up hope . I hope that anyone who reads this book will understand what I got from this book as well and be able to take something to heart from what they read . I write this book with five stars and recommend it to anyone who wants an uplifting story. Thank you again for writing it .
Last night, I got an email from , advertising this new book from Rachel Burns. Of course, I downloaded right away!
I love the way Rachel writes men... you just never know... Sometimes you fall in love with them right away, and sometimes you literally hate them. You ALWAYS end up loving and forgiving them (if necessary) in the end. I can always count on her for a happily ever after.
David reminded me a lot of Luke, from Sugar Daddy... He was good deep-deep down, but he had a lot of jerky opinions, and saw everything in black and white. Luckily, both Luke and David had awesome, big-hearted, open-minded parents. )
Rachel Burns is one of my very favorite authors, but this is one of her very best books yet. Rose is in a life or death situation and makes a bad decision. But David is there. At first he is judgmental and angry, but he still helps her when she's sick. You see growth in both characters by the end. Well done.
